so, kamusta naman?
Posted by starrytrix at 08:58 PM

hello dearies, im back!

forgive me for the exaggerated lull, i know i've somewhat deprived you of sneaking into my perfectly horrid yet exciting life.

*******************************************************

ok, so last december 15, my classmates and i celebrated our xmas party and it was truly an affair to remember! aside from the booze and smorgasbord of gastronomic treats(mainly of siomai, squidballs&mitch's liempo), i enjoyed the night more because of the genuine bonding and unending kamusta naman? with my classmates. yes, everybody was very much into the phrase kamusta naman? that's why almost all of our sentences have kamusta naman? attached to it. others find it baduy or even jologs but what the heck, my classmates and i enjoy saying it so kamusta naman kayo di ba?

ok, so much for that. after the filling dinner, we proceeded to the exchanging of gifts. i was so lucky because i picked jen since she is not hard to please. as a matter of fact, her wishlist was very simple and affordable that's why i easily bought her the perfect gift but im even luckier because tristan picked my name. hehe, i received a really nice cap from tan. hindi niya ako tinipid! after the revelation, we drank the night away. of course the night wouldn't be complete without all the asaran, joke time and chisme! but i wouldn't further delve into the chisme part since it is only exclusive to our class!
(may continuation pa 'to, keep posted!)

trick or treat!
Posted by starrytrix at 06:38 PM

before i continue my seminar escapades, id like to share with you my oh-so-enjoyable-and-enchanting Halloween first!

yup, i went trick or treat(ing) together with my sibs and cousins last october 31 at my tita's village. and i tell you, it was one hell of an experience!

actually, the original plan was just to chaperone our lil cousin and niece while going around the village but then my ever-game and giddy cousin, ate sah, thought of dressing-up also so that we won't look like yayas running after our alagas. ehehe, you know what i mean. so the two of us decided to dress up as gypsies since we didn't have much time to look for flamboyant costumes, so to speak. we just mixed and matched some of our old clothes, accessorized and for the final touch, wore colorful masks then voila, we instantly became(overaged) gypsy trick or treat(ers)!

i was really ecstatic because it was my first time to go around wearing a costume. i've been trick or treat(ing) for many years but it was only this year that i decided to wear a costume. and the mask helped me big time because it partly hid my age. almost all the kids wore their best attires and nag-effort sa make-up! there were a lot of princesses, fairies, pumpkins, witches, fairytale characters, and creatures from the dark side who braved the long kilometric streets for sweet treats! but some of the cute kids who stood out were the darth vader, yoda and statue of liberty mini-me(s).

it was really fun because everybody was pleasant and gave us treats even if we(my cousin and i) were a lil over the age limit. and all our bags overflowed with candies even if we weren't able to cover the entire(it was really big) village. you have to ride a car to be able to go around and most of the kids, the rich kids, rode their golf carts together with a driver and a yaya. it was held in a posh village so i bet you get the picture.

one of my friends told me in a knowingly-way that i was too old for trick or treat-ing but i strongly disagreed with her. you cannot be too old for doing the things you enjoy and i was just being in-touch with my inner child that's why i really had a great time last Halloween.
